Who would be the hero if the web series on Harbhajan Singh’s life? Former off-spinner gives shocking answer
Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has expressed a desire to make a biopic on his life. Harbhajan retired from international cricket last month. Apart from playing 163 IPL matches, he has also played 103 Tests, 236 ODIs and 28 T20 international matches for India. Harbhajan now wants everyone to know what kind of human he was in his sports days. There have been many biopics on an international cricketer or cricket event in India. These include former Indian skippers Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Azharuddin and ’83’, which was recently released.
‘I want a movie or a web series built on my life so that people can know my story or even my side, what kind of Man I have been and what I do in the days of sports,’ Harbhajan told Zee News. When asked who he would like to see playing your character in his biopic, he said, ‘can’t say who will be the hero in my biopic. For this there are not one but several.’
The former off-spinner also regretted not having had the chance to say goodbye to the game while playing farewell. He said, ‘every player wants to retire wearing India’s jersey but luck does not always support and there are times when you do not have what you want. You have taken big names like VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag and many others who later retired did not get a chance.’
