Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Web Series Review: Yeh Kali kali Aankhen web series review
In more twists than anything you’re likely to see on the show, these dark black eyes are really good. A kitsch throwback to both trash Pulp Fiction and 90s Hindi cinema, the eight-episode Netflix series is exactly what Hasin Dilruba, in her biggest dreams, wanted.
But when that Taapsee Pannu-starrer was marred by a scattershot screenplay that itself was crippled by a superiority complex – it saw the genre that should have paid a loving tribute – these dark black eyes captivatingly succeed largely in balancing the dark humor with action-thriller elements.
Maintaining tonal continuity throughout the season for any filmmaker is a long question, especially if the genre keeps changing every two episodes, but director Siddhartha Sengupta, for the most part, keeps the story on track, even when the behavior of his characters threatens. Derail it.
Tahir Raj Bhasin has done good work (Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen)
An outstanding Tahir Raj Bhasin plays the hapless engineer Vikrant, who wants nothing more than to live the life he has prepared for himself. Having got an entry-level job at a steel plant, he will marry his beloved Shikha, and maybe a few years later get an MBA degree. He will shoot in the air with his childhood friend, a buffoon named Golden, and most importantly, he will be far from the shadowy man for whom his father has spent his whole life at work.
But as luck would have it, Vikrant is sucked into the seedy world of up politics when he crosses paths with the seductive daughter of a scary local ‘MLA’ named akheraj, played in proper Ramadhir Singh mode by Saurabh Shukla. The woman named Purva has spent the main time of her youth obsessed with Vikrant, with whom she went to school. She holds an unwanted good word for him when his father forces him to interview him for the post of ‘goons’ of akhiraj.
Poorwa’s big role in the story
Played by Aanchal Singh, Purwa is a real female fatale, straight out of the Manohar stories that the show has such a clear love for. The moment she first glanced at him as a child, Vikrant knew he meant trouble. This is probably as much as you should be aware of Purva and his plans; revealing the rest will spoil your experience.
And this is only because these dark black eyes rely heavily on plot twists. But that is the nature of the beast; in fact, it is only because of its love of Pulp Fiction that it is able to overcome so much. Such stories should show hardcore characters who demonstrate an obvious lack of logical reasoning. And if stupidity were a crime, Vikrant would be serving a life sentence.
Big twist in the story (Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen Web series 2022)
He is a mostly passive character, when he finally decides to take his life into his own hands, making some of the most head-scratching decisions on this side of Aranyak. Vikrant is the kind of guy who gets all his information Golden (which means it’s probably incredible) and from YouTube videos. He is not in the morally bankrupt world of akhraj Awasthi.
Vikrant does everything he can to escape the clutches of Purva, but when Shikha is drawn into conflict, he has no choice – as Jackie Shroff says – to develop a ‘merudund‘ and confront his enemies. However, Shweta Tripathi is given the short end of the stick, tied to a reactionary character who spends most of her time on the run. Tripathi will also be eating batata vada on the big screen, where he is out of action.
Some humor and funny tales and some will communicate entertainment
In India in particular, it is quite common for scripts and ‘dialogues’ to be given separate credits. This has always been mysterious to me, because a screenplay is a screenplay is a screenplay, and anyone who contributes to it-whether for lines or story – should be credited solely to the script.
But the difference between these black black eyes is much greater. Despite a plot that is so weak that it can crumble under the weight of a playful ant, the ‘dialogues‘ of Varun Badola (the same) are sharp, and often very funny. Especially in the first few episodes, which are more comical than the ending.
The characters have done a good job
However, there is nothing more fun than watching Brijendra Kala (try) speak English. He is the kind of actor who has the unique ability to laugh while standing there, but imagine our good fortune, in these dark black eyes, he does not remain silent. As the father of Vikrant’s career- ‘chaplain’, he lights up in every scene, even when he’s yelling at someone on the phone about not having electricity in the House.
If it’s black, black eyes, in your eyes, the mischief of the brightness not until the end does, then it is even more enthusiastic recommendation require.
